A New Chapter: From Code to Career Guidance

As I reflect on my 15-year journey in software engineering, I’m excited to announce that this blog site afivan.com will be taking a backseat and I’ll be focusing more on career advice, guidance, digital content creation and mentorship at afiether.com. This shift marks an important milestone for me as a blogger and a professional in software engineering as it’ll offer me a much greater flexibility when it comes to expressing my creativity.

Why the change?

As someone who’s spent years honing the craft in software engineering, I’ve come to realize that my expertise can benefit others beyond technical expertise. When it comes to your career, it’s actually more of a university where you learn and adapt much more beyond technical difficulties, programming languages or company bureaucracy.

With afiether.com, I aim to share top-notch advice on how to develop a successful career, overcome challenges, and thrive in today’s fast-paced tech industry.

What can you expect?

AFIEther was launched soon and it already contains a bit of what I do and what services I provide. In time, you’ll find useful tips, real-world examples and insights from my own experience as software engineer. Topics I have in plan will range from:

  • Career development strategies for professionals looking to upskill or reskill
  • Practical advice on how to deal with challenging projects and corporate environments
  • Insights into the pros and cons of working in startups versus corporations
  • And more!

What’s happening to this blog

Don’t worry, I’m not abandoning this blog entirely! It will remain online as an archive of my technical articles. While it might not receive new content, it’ll still be a valuable resource for those interested in software engineering and related topics.

The future is bright at AFIEther.com

I’m thrilled to embark on this new chapter in my blogging journey. With AFIEther, I hope to inspire and empower professionals like you to achieve their career goals and reach new heights. Stay tuned for exciting updates, and let’s grow together!

afivan

Enthusiast adventurer, software developer with a high sense of creativity, discipline and achievement. I like to travel, I like music and outdoor sports. Because I have a broken ligament, I prefer safer activities like running or biking. In a couple of years, my ambition is to become a good technical lead with entrepreneurial mindset. From a personal point of view, I’d like to establish my own family, so I’ll have lots of things to do, there’s never time to get bored 😂
